Sinkhole result in Guatemala City due to tropical storm Agatha?

Sink holes are not caused by a single event, they from slowly buy subsurface erosion and weakening of the surface rock layer. A sinkhole of this size proably took many years to form, the collapse is only the final stage of a sinkhole's formation.
