In many places one must get a drug screening to be eligible to be considered for employment. When we get a jo
b, we pay taxes that pay for thousands of people who can't or don't work through social services. Many of them are drug dealers or addicts. Why don't those recipients have to have a drug screening before being considered for public istance? Shouldn't we be safe on both ends of the system? Also, I don't necessarily believe that illegal immigrants are reaping benefits of Social Services. Even IF they do because they gave birth to a child here(mostly WIC for the baby/medicaid), they are still working hard just to make ends meet. How many of our American citizens are doing the same. I see so many of my neighbors sit outside drinking and selling drugs all day, every day and nothing gets said to them and I am sure that not all of that drug money goes to groceries. It goes to more beer and liquor, and they receive food stamps every month. What is up? Opinions?
