Could I have a torn ACL?

My right knee gives out and pops all of the time. When it goes out or pops, my knee doesn't hurt but recently it's been hurting. For the past three days my knee has been a dull pain whenever I bend it and has been popping more frequently. It doesn't seem to be swollen. I'm 16 and I don't play any type of sports. What could this be?
