Can I check in a box of paintball guns or paintball tanks onto the plane or will TSA take them away?

You can probably put them on your stowed luggage (which, BTW, will be scanned!), but the paint might burst, if unprotected. Since you can rent paintball equipment from virtually anywhere these days, I wouldn't take the risk of having your toys confied, not to mention being detained for questioning.
