Is it the starter motor, or something more sinister?

if the motor spins over when you try to start the starter motor is doing its job sounds like ignition switch if you push start with clutch the ignition switch maybe taking fire away fron ignition system while cranking when no start condition takes place need to know if the plugs are firing if not could be coil or ignition module or ignition switch best of luck
