Do I have to bear with an old friend who all of a sudden just turns hostile because of a small thing?

I commented on his blog on his attacks on people and one opposition lady leader who had the misfortune of being betrayed by her ex-boyfriend. He called me names and accused me of all sorts of unfounded crimes while enjoying his vainglory by publishing good deed stories and poems of famous political leaders and literary world to uplift his image as he has been generally regarded as born-loser.
